If you’re looking for VoIP technology to help your small business stay competitive, or just to save money on your home service, then ITP has plenty of options for you. The company’s depth of service is impressive, starting with a low-cost basic option that comes with 500 minutes of local and long distance anywhere minutes. The Global Unlimited plan delivers unlimited calling within the US and more than 60 other countries, yet still delivers a strong price advantage. And for your small or home-based business, you can’t beat the Home Office Premium service with unlimited calling and two lines—along with high-end business features such as an auto-attendant and on-hold music.
Products and Features
ITP isn’t just a one-size-fits-all VoIP service provider. With seven tiers of service, there’s something for everyone. We appreciate the availability of “Residential Basic,” which admittedly won’t be for everyone, but offers a great entry-level price for people with minimal calling needs or those who may be on a tight budget. Other service tiers include one or two lines, and the top-of-the-line “Home Office Premium” service gives you everything you need to be well on your way to small business success. You’ll find plenty of features too, with all service levels—ranging from anonymous call rejection and caller ID blocking to keep away those pesky bill collectors, to voicemail, call forwarding, custom rings, and “follow me” service to make sure you’re always available. Optional features include e-fax, a global cell service that lets you make international calls from your cell phone, a softphone for PC-based calling, and a virtual number with your choice of area code.
Reliability and Performance
Reliability and performance is always top of the mark with ITP. On the back end, ITP has a lot to keep track of with all those nifty features, and they do it well. Their communications portal provides a virtual gateway to a wealth of advanced digital features, and the company’s robust global network utilizes sophisticated routing to ensure that your services are always available, always robust, and always on.
Sound and Equipment Quality
All accounts come with a free Linksys router, so you can count on well-known and reliable hardware with your service. Your calls are clear and equivalent in quality to standard phone service, and because of the digital nature of VoIP, you also get access to many more high-quality features than would otherwise be available.
Customer Service and Support
You’ll be surprised at how easy it is to get up and running. You can use your existing phones, and all you need to do is open the box you get in the mail, plug in your new adapter, and start talking. ITP has an 800-number for support, as well as an online trouble ticket form for quick resolution of issues. Online support is also available, with a detailed set of FAQs that address nearly every question or issue you may encounter.
We give ITP five stars for their depth of service and flexibility. The free Linksys router is an exceptionally nice add-on, and there are no signing contracts so you won’t get tied into a long-term contract. All the same, once you try it, we’re sure you’ll want to stick with ITP. Offering both business and residential service, it’s a great place to go if you’re running a SOHO business and want to look bigger than you really are.
